The University of Maryland

Residence Hall Association

Welcome! Thank you for visiting the home of the University of Maryland Residence Hall Association. The Residence Hall Association (RHA) serves as the student organization that represents the campus’s 11,000+ on-campus residents. Composed entirely of undergraduate students, the RHA deals with matters related directly with the Department of Residential Affairs and works on issues that pertain to on-campus life. The organization is composed of hall councils that put on programs to build a residential community, as well as a Senate body that votes on resolutions that impact the Departments of Resident Life, Residential Facilities, Dining Services, and Transportation. The RHA is one of the most active and prominent student groups at this university and believes that it is every resident’s right to have their voice represented to the administration. Whether you are a current UMD resident or a potential student, please browse our website to learn more about the structure of the organization, the prominent issues we are tackling, or how to get in contact with us to make sure your opinions are represented. We are always looking for new, passionate members, so GET INVOLVED today!

With Terrapin pride,
The RHA Executive Board
